ABOUT TZLAMON CREEK-historic beckground

Historic background:
Ein Tzalmon is a spring flow that never dries, and always has running water. In the area, it is the highest of all the springs, and that’s why it is the most famous one.
The Arabic name of the EIN Zalmon mill is EM - Askaik. The meaning of this name is "mill lovers". Not far away, there is another place called Tachanat Tzalmon, many people tend to get confused between the two places because their names are similar in Hebrew. Tzalmon pump station was established in 1964 and it was built by the Israeli water management company. From the Tzalmon water pump station, water was passed to the Tzalmon reserve. Tzalmon reserve was also established in 1964 and is operational reservoir that has a capacity of about 1 million cubic meters of water.
